Technical Analyst, Ashwani Gujral:
The market will have positive opening today on account of firm global cues. Nifty has support at 5000-5050 and resistances are at 5150-5180.

Nifty (5089) we said ‘the market has stayed range bound and is expected to stay within the range as the market has run up too fast too soon…so far strong support exists around 5030’. The market unfolded as expected…technically the trend is still intact up but is likely to find selling pressure in the upper regions and the market is expected to remain range bound.

We said ‘Technically the bar generated for the week is a positive bar with an overhang of selling pressure near the 5100-5150 levels but I would keep my eye on the crucial support of 4850 for the first sign of weakness’

Nifty (5080) we said ‘looks that it should go towards 5125’ the market has stayed range bound and is expected to stay within the range as the market has run up too fast too soon…so far strong support exists around 5030…incidentally the market has taken support like a dot on 5050…
