Market friendly measures in Union Budget 2010 that included reduction in surcharge on corporate tax, lower fiscal deficit projection, roadmap for rollout of goods & service tax (GST) and direct tax code (DTC), augured well for domestic bourses. Technically NIFTY has closed just above its 20 week EMA (Exponential Moving Average) (currently at 4919) and on lower side 100 day MA currently at 4744 & then 50 week EMA currently at 4611 may remain important support for markets. Major resistances to watch out for in near term are 4960-5000 levels on NIFTY. Any close above this range may see NIFTY testing earlier highs of 5200-5300 levels. In the coming week lot will depend on how the global markets pan out. Foreign funds flow, will continue to play important role in directing course of our markets.
The following are the cues to help you in trade today.
NIFTY RANGE of today: 4925-5020.
• US & European markets closed up 1%
• Asian market opened mixed.
• SGX nifty up 54 points.
• Dollar index is be at 80.59.

MARKETS after important events like budget will be volatile as big institutions and HNIs will reshuffle their portfolio in light of the budget. This provides big opportunity for small traders also to make some quick profit if you boarded the right train. This portfolio churning is really very big. You will find some stocks will fly and some will be dumped beyond their value.
One better way to change the way you trade. Option trading will be one tool to play safe. Worldwide hedge funds and HNIS’ make huge profit in option trading. But small investors’ do not understand the pros and cons of option trading. Sometimes their bad experiences with options trading make them think against this.
If you believe in my little wisdom gained over past 22 years, small investors can make huge money in option trading. But one has to learn the golden rules of option trading.
• Generally a small investor buys a option suppose at 5 ,when it becomes 6 or 7 he immediately sells it, but never sells when it becomes 3, even wait for last minutes on the expiry day hoping some miracle to happen, thereby losing his entire investment.
• Use trailing stop-loss and target, keep very close watch on F&O build-up.
• More money can be made not buying, but in selling option, but for that you have to master yourself first with some basic principles
• Normal stop-loss theory will not work in case of option. It depends on the value of underlying and the days left in expiry.
• Buying and selling options at right price is very important as there is no much liquidity in most of time, so premiums are arbitrary, generally fixed to take small investors for a ride. Never buy options when a News broke by so called BREAKING NEWS on television, as premiums are jacked up much before releasing the news.
• Never invest your whole investible fund in one option call hoping to multiply your capital overnight, as risk is equally high.
• Make disciplined investment in options at regular intervals with a little diversification.

Budget is an auspicious event for every investor. This budget could be a game changer. This time it is an important event after elections to direct the future course of INDIAN markets. The recent announcements by government tell about the things to come in the budget. Take my words this government is all out to prove something which is very critical for the stock market in India.
MOREEVER stock markets worldwide are also bouncing back in doubly quick time just like yesterday. US markets recovered dramatically after disappointing job data.
The government has to do something special as it is facing the huge deficit, high inflation amidst booming economy.MARKETS are at tender hooks.
